When I met Caitlin & Ken last fall, it was love at first sight for me. They were fun, suuuuper in love and they shared my love of craft beer & Detroit. Their wedding day sounded like a dream – a laid back, but cool shindig at The Eastern in Detroit with BBQ on the menu and a claddagh engagement ring! Agh! I can’t wait!
I met C + K at Atwater on the park where we shared a brew and caught up a bit. I didn’t know it at the time, but both of them were totally nervous! After a few of my corny jokes and tricks they had a blast. We shot around the area a bit and then headed down to Eastern Market just in time for sunset. How they met: We met during our freshman year of college through mutual friends from high school. After going our separate ways that first afternoon, we each told our friends how cute they thought the other was. A few days later, a Facebook friend request was sent, and the rest is history!
Their engagement story: This past July, we were in the middle of a cross-country road trip as we moved from Portland, Oregon to Southeast Michigan. While we were visiting Arches National Park in Moab, Utah, and on a hike around The Windows, Ken pulled me aside and asked me to spend the rest of my days adventuring with him.
