Kelly + Mike’s Henry Ford wedding day was just perfect.  Rewind back to Thanksgiving weekend 2017 and you could just tell it was going to be a great day.  I met up with Kelly at Dearborn Inn as she got ready with her family and it was just such a good vibe.  Kelly was so giddy and her Mom was just the cutest.  She pulled me aside to tell me she had some surprises with the new couple throughout the day and she just blew my mind.  After a few photos around the Dearborn Inn, we headed over the Martha Mary Chapel at Henry Ford for their beautiful and intimate candle lit ceremony.

Just after the ceremony, we were met with a Model T to take around for photos at Henry Ford Village.  A fricken Model T!  It was so, so, so cool.  We shot until the very last drop of sunlight and scooted over to the Dearborn Inn to celebrate the night away!

So, as I mentioned above, Kelly’s Mom had quite a few surprises for the newly married couple to really make their day even more special.  There were small details like mistletoe at the cocktail hour and a handmade paper flower backdrop she made for them for guests to pose in front of.  Oh my gosh you guys!  I am obsessed!  Kelly’s Mom made that flower wall!  It was so cool.

Their reception was just perfect.  Some very beautiful and emotional speeches and it was dance time.  Kelly loves the snow and just envisioned a snowy romantic day.  Well as we all know, Michigan is just random with weather and we didn’t get snow…outdoors ;)  Kelly’s family surprised them with snowflakes falling on their dance floor.  It was just magical!  Such a beautiful day for two beautiful people.  Kelly and Mike, thank you so much for having me and making me feel like family.  Your day was perfect and I am so glad I could be a part of it.  xo, e

Kelly’s favorite memory of the day:

When my dad gave Mike a big hug after walking me down the aisle and then Mike and I walked up to begin the wedding ceremony. Mike was crying, and I was so excited! I also loved the moment I first saw my bouquet. I had requested dark ranunculas, but my florist who is also a friend of my family’s explained that they were hard to get in season and wouldn’t be able to. She surprised me on my wedding day by flying them in from Italy to use in the bouquets. That was so special!

Don’t be afraid to choose something a little different or outside of the box. Some of my favorite moments from the day were the unique ones!
